We are a coastal New Jersey based interior design studio. Our intimate team specializes in transforming your space into your dream reality. Whether you're reimagining a single room or rethinking your entire space, we work closely with each client to translate their vision into spaces that feel intentional, layered, and genuinely theirs.
Our Story
Beth, our Founder, launched her interior design company in 2021 with a simple yet transformative idea: to help clients reimagine their spaces using what they already owned. This vision gave birth to Shop the House, a unique approach that breathes new life into existing decor by shifting perspectives and re-envisioning familiar objects. Sustainable design has always been at the heart of Beth’s work, and after successfully completing numerous residential projects, she expanded into her first commercial new-build project, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Later that year, Julia joined the team. With three years of experience in the fashion industry and an education from the New York School of Interior Design, she now works as a designer and the creative director, bringing a refined eye and a strong artistic foundation to the studio. Today, Slate & Sage Interiors combines the Shop the House philosophy with full-service residential and boutique commercial offerings. We can’t wait to bring your vision to life.
